Darjeeling is a hill town in northern West Bengal, India, famous worldwide for its stunning Himalayan scenery, lush tea gardens, mountain roads, pine forests, the highest Ghum railway station and the visible Kanchenjunga. UNESCO-listed Darjeeling is known as the "Queen of the Hills" for its Himalayan Railway. Located in the eastern Himalayas, its average elevation is 2,045 metres (6,709 ft).
